Thank you to everyone for your kind words of support, all of the emails, and the comments. The bar is over and we can now resume our regularly scheduled wedding madness (in the best possible way).

Hello all, I am young Russian/Jewish/American girl (i.e. a Bridechka) planning her wedding in New York City. After much exasperation and frustration with all of the fluffy, stuffy, pricey and just plain boring wedding venues, flowers, favors, etc... I decided to start this blog to share my insights, inspirations, and ordeals in this process. I hope this blog can be a place where practical, modern, and chic brides and grooms can come together help each other out...I'm looking at you folks...

Hey girl! I hope it went all right- I was thinking about you and eagerly awaiting your post to show up in my google reader this morning. I hope it went all right! Don't bother to analyze it to death-- just let it go and move forward. (If you can.)
YAY. Good for you - no matter the result, you can be proud in the effort. (Yeah, I know, you're gagging right now. But it's true.)
Yeah!!!! :D
yay!
Thanks so much everyone!
You did it!!!
Hey congratulations! Now you can breathe again! How do you think you did?
Oh man I have no clue how I did, its so hard to tell. So keep those fingers crossed until May when I find out. Thats not too uncomfortable is it?
I'm rooting for ya. I often wonder if waiting until post-bar to get married was the way to go. Le sigh, too late.
