I'll be your tree if you'll be my roots

Remember how I told you that a ketubah = art? And you know how I feel about trees .....

Could this be more perfect? No Chandler Bing - it could not. Right from the beautiful, simple tree at the top to the roots stitched, yep you read that right! The roots are sown into the paper! Ok now that your in love, go, go on check it out at New Ketubah (which I found on Something Old, Something New.)

Seriously! I looked into a ketubah, because the idea of a marriage as a binding contract is so romantic.

Gosh, they're expensive, though! And frankly, I didn't get into this idea early enough into the wedding planning process for it to be feasible.

But I think the concept and idea of a ketubah as a contract, and as artwork to display and thus remind you of your contract / vows, is a fantastic sentiment.

gorgeous. fantastic.

just started sewing on paper, myself, so the concept of stitched roots makes me that much happier!
