Anywhooooo ... I want this ....
I want it bad.
Its from here, and its making me reconsider that whole registry thing .. is it weird to only register for two things? This and cash! ... I think I can make it work ;)
Hello all, I am young Russian/Jewish/American girl (i.e. a Bridechka) planning her wedding in New York City. After much exasperation and frustration with all of the fluffy, stuffy, pricey and just plain boring wedding venues, flowers, favors, etc... I decided to start this blog to share my insights, inspirations, and ordeals in this process. I hope this blog can be a place where practical, modern, and chic brides and grooms can come together help each other out...I'm looking at you folks...

Girl, trust me register! Your non-Russian friends will be asking for it and you risk getting...unique things.
It doesn't have to be big, but it will be VERY useful. I got really useful stuff - makeup, fascinators, and gadgets.
That's really interesting about money being what guests give the couple at Russian weddings. I know so many couples who would love it if that was tradition in the UK as they often agonise over how to ask for money!
I thought people primarily used the registry for bridal shower gifts. I've never been to a wedding where gifts besides checks/cash were given. Maybe it's a Russian and New York thing to just give money?
Oooooh. Gorgeous.
